This hand felted gnome is Walter Water Lilly. He was inspired by the beautiful pink water lilies floating atop blue ponds in the park. The brim of Walter’s hat is hand wet felted in a messy fashion. The hat includes light and dark duck egg and coral merino wool; bright green soya silk; pink tussah silk noil, Angelina sparkle fibre and linen; and light blue firestar.
 
This gnome/tomte/troll/elf doll would make a great addition to your spring display. He is perfect for your bookshelf or mantle and would make an incredible gift for your friends, family, or yourself.
 
Walter the Water Lilly Gnome: He stands about 10 inches tall and 6 inches around the base including his shoes.
 
He sits on a 2.5 inch wooden disk to allow free standing. His hat has a small wire in it to allow bending of the hat.
 
He has little flesh coloured cheeks and nose under all those locks. His hat is a blend of light and dark duck egg and coral merino wool; bright green soya silk; pink tussah silk noil, Angelina sparkle fibre and linen; and light blue firestar.
 
The brim of his hat is wet felted.
 
He is lightweight and soft to the touch.
 
His beard and hair is made from white Wensleydale locks that have been hand scoured by me using ecologically friendly and biodegradable soap.
 
Care has been taken to use wool raised in the UK.
