This gnome of Yuletide was inspired by the English thicket that goes bare at winter except for the red berries hanging on to Hawthorne and holly. The thicket seems foreboding, except for the sound of birds picking through the fallen leaves. Thallo is one of the Horae in Greek mythology: goddesses associated with the cycle of life, growth and the seasons and is a fitting name for a gnome of the ever changing thicket.
 
Thallo is unique as he is seated in a small terracotta plant pot.
 
New to this year's Christmas Collection, Thallo has sculpted green eyes and ears hiding away beneath his hat of merino, Icelandic, BFL and Moorit Shetland wool, Tussah Silk with a little silver Angelina fibre in oatmeal, grey, deep green and olive. He also has a ruby red wensleydale lock winding up his hat and red and white berries with green Masham locks.
 
Like all my Yuletide gonks, he sports special embellishments, a green bell and felted silk berries.
 
Thallo Thicket, Gnome of Yuletide is perfect for your Christmas mantle or Yule alter and would make an incredible gift for your friends and family.
 
Thallo Thicket, Gnome of Yuletide:
Measures 7.5 inches tall and 5 inches at the top of the pot.
He has little flesh coloured cheeks, ears and nose; sculpted eyes and a terracotta pot under all those locks.
His hat is a blend of merino, Icelandic, BFL and Moorit Shetland wool, Tussah Silk with a little silver Angelina fibre in oatmeal, grey, deep green and olive.
He is lightweight and soft to the touch.
His beard is made from white Wensleydale locks and hand dyed green Masham locks.
