This hand felted gnome is Elder Elwha the Woodland Wanderer. He is inspired by the mystical Olympic Rainforest in Washington State.   This wanderer features a messy, wet felted brim and mossy green banana fibre.  His wired, hand felted hat includes a blend of dark blue, turquoise and forest green merino wool; chocolate alpaca; sea green bamboo; bright green silk noil; soft green soya silk; light olive linen; stringy green banana fibre; olive and brown trilobal and gold Angelina fibre.

Elder Elwha the Woodland Wanderer of the Rainforest gnome:
 
He stands about 12 inches tall and 6.5 inches around the base including his shoes.  He sits on a 2.5 inch wooden disk to allow free standing.
He has little flesh coloured cheeks and nose under all those locks.
His hat includes a blend of dark blue, turquoise and forest green merino wool; chocolate alpaca; sea green bamboo; bright green silk noil; soft green soya silk; light olive linen; stringy green banana fibre; olive and brown trilobal and gold Angelina fibre. 
He is lightweight and soft to the touch.
His beard and hair is made from hand dyed Wensleydale  and Blue Faced Leister locks in shades of brown, ginger and green that have been hand scoured by me using ecologically friendly and biodegradable soap.  Care has been taken to use wool raised in the UK.
